Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically capable Technical Parts Specialist to support customers with identifying, quoting, and ordering replacement parts for our industrial equipment. Reporting to the Parts Manager, this role is responsible for accurately interpreting customer needs, reviewing drawings, schematics, and documentation, and ensuring that parts orders are correct, complete, and processed efficiently. The position works closely with Engineering, Production, and Purchasing when clarification or additional information is needed. The ideal candidate is organized, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working through incomplete information to determine the correct solution.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and quote replacement parts based on customer requests, machine configurations, drawings, or descriptions
- Interpret mechanical drawings, parts breakdowns, and documentation to determine correct components
- Generate accurate quotes and enter orders into Epicor ERP
- Review and validate part numbers, pricing, availability, and lead times
- Coordinate with Engineering to clarify part selection or resolve discrepancies when needed
- Work with Production and Purchasing on non-stock, obsolete, or custom parts
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding quotes, order status, and delivery timelines
- Process and track parts orders from entry through fulfillment and shipment
- Maintain accurate records of quotes, orders, and customer communication in ERP
- Support ongoing improvements to parts data, documentation, and cross-references
- Ensure a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all transactions
Qualifications & Skills
- 3–6 years of experience in parts support, order processing, inside sales, or manufacturing environment (industrial equipment preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and parts breakdowns
- Experience working with assemblies, components, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Experience using Epicor ERP or similar systems for order entry and inventory lookup
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially when working through incomplete or unclear information
- Excellent communication skills for working with customers and internal teams
- High attention to detail and accuracy in part identification and order entry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
