Position Summary
We are seeking an entry-level Mechanical CAD Drafter to support our engineering team in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on mechanical 2D drafting in AutoCAD, supporting equipment layouts, installation drawings, and manufacturing documentation for industrial machinery. Candidates should be comfortable working from engineering markups, equipment drawings, and mechanical standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and revise mechanical 2D drawings in AutoCAD based on engineering direction.
- Assist with equipment layouts, installation drawings, and system diagrams for industrial machinery.
- Update drawings related to mechanical assemblies, components, and site installations.
- Support engineers by incorporating redlines, revisions, and field feedback into drawings.
- Use Autodesk Inventor for basic 3D part or assembly updates as needed.
- Maintain drawing files and revisions within Autodesk Vault.
- Reference mechanical, electrical, and site drawings to ensure correct equipment placement and interfaces.
- Follow internal drafting standards and manufacturing documentation practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- CAD Certificate, Associate Degree, or equivalent technical experience.
- 1–3 years of mechanical drafting experience (school, internship, or professional).
- Strong AutoCAD skills with mechanical drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical prints and basic BOMs.
- Exposure to Autodesk Inventor or 3D CAD is a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, or machinery is preferred.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a revision-controlled environment.
- Willingness to learn internal standards and grow into more advanced CAD tools.
