The 2012 WTSA (Western Textile Service Association) Production Clinic was held this year in San Diego on January 26 & 27.

UPDATE: WTSA's 2012 Production Clinic started Thursday January 26th with a well attended welcome reception. Chicago's Regional Sales Director Chuck Anderson had the new [Chi•Touch] (http://www.chidry.com/technology/chicago-high-intelligence/) Simulator set-up for attendees to get a "hands-on" introduction to our industry’s state-of-art touch screen control. Friday morning proved to be another successful turnout for WTSA as Emerald Laundry, the newest laundry in Southern California opened their doors to all attendees. Anderson along with Chicago's Paul Naylor and Ted Brown spoke to attendees about the features, functions, and production capabilities of the Chicago Edge Maxx, Century Ironers, Skyline Folders, and Blanket Blasters that allow Emerald Textiles to process more than 28 million pounds per year and growing.

ORIGINAL STORY 1/13/12: Chuck Anderson and Paul Naylor will be in attendance from Chicago. The meeting includes a tour of Emerald Textiles. Emerald invested $20 Million in American- made equipment for this plant and showcases Chicago equipment including; one Edge and two Edge Maxx feeders, three Century III 32 ironers, two Skyline folder/cross-folders, one Skyline SP5 w/Chi-Touch Control, and two Blanket Blasters.

Emerald is described as ‘the most modern, efficient, state-of-the-art commercial laundry facility in the western U.S.” It was designed and built with a focus on being a green plant and boasts reduced water and energy consumption including a savings of 70,000 therms of natural gas annually as well as a saving of over 40 million gallons of water.
